EPOXY FLOORING
IMPORTANT FACTORS TO PUT INTO CONSIDERATION.

INDUSTRIAL EPOXY FLOORING
STRENGTH AND DURABILITY
Factories, warehouses, and other industrial areas need floors that aren’t going to break or damage easily regardless of whatever is thrown at them. This includes foot traffic, heavy pieces of machinery such as forklifts and vehicles. Epoxy floors are just what industrial areas need. They are 3x stronger than concrete, and their inability to break or chip makes them ideal for such harsh environments.
RESISTANT TO STAINS AND EXTREME TEMPERATURES
Some industrial floors are exposed to heat and frequent spills from chemicals. Over time, such abuse can cause the floor to damage. Epoxy floors are your sure bet if you’re looking for a solid floor to withstand these conditions. They don’t retain spills of any kind, so the color doesn’t fade. Plus they are resistant to heat, which means the lifespan of the floor is prolonged.
EASY TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN
In an industrial environment, cleaning can be time-consuming. Epoxy floors solve that problem as they don’t trap dirt, bacteria, or dust. Simple routine cleaning, coupled with once in a couple of months heavy-duty cleaning is going to keep your floor in shape for a long time.
NON-SLIPPERY AND SKID RESISTANCE
Industrial areas require floors that are safe. With a lot of activities from machines and humans, slipping or skids can’t be allowed. Epoxy floors are made with anti-slip coats to prevent accidents from happening in the industrial environment.
COST-EFFECTIVE
Since epoxy floors are scratch-resistant and durable, this means that the cost associated with constant repairs and maintenance is avoided from the beginning. This makes it relatively cost-effective when compared to other flooring options that will require constant repairs.

FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Companies involved in the production and packaging of food and beverages are required to comply with stringent safety checks. This ensures that the overall facility is safe and ideal for production, and the products are safe for consumption. By installing epoxy floors, food production facilities are checking an item off their list. This is because epoxy floors are seamless and don’t trap dust, dirt, bacteria, and other pathogens. In addition, epoxy floors are resistant to chemicals making them relatively easy to clean. Non-slippery and skid resistance ensures the safety of workers and prevents workplace hazards. At Pasadena Epoxy Flooring, all our epoxy floors for the food industry are USDA-compliant.

PRODUCTION SHOPS
EPOXY FLOORING PROCESS
STEP 1
Prepare and clean the concrete surface. At Pasadena Epoxy Flooring, we believe the perfect floor begins with proper preparation. Preparing the floor ensures dust, dirt, adhesive, or whatever debris is removed from the surface. We use a dust-free diamond grinder to prepare the entire floor.
STEP 2
Prime the floor with an epoxy primer. This will make the epoxy adhere more to the floor, and it also ensures durability.
STEP 3
Filling of holes and cracks. Our epoxy flooring specialists will fill up visible holes and cracks with epoxy before the first coating
STEP 4
Application of the first coat of epoxy paint. We apply a thoroughly mixed epoxy solution to the entire floor.
STEP 5
Grinding and relayering of the surface. After the first coating, we lookout for dust, cracks, and other irregularities on the floor. Once found, we grind and layer the surface again to give it a smoother look.
STEP 6
Application of the final coat of epoxy paint. Once we are satisfied with the results of step 5, we go on to apply the final coat of epoxy. Once the floor is dry, the result is your shiny and durable epoxy floor.
